Sawn and dressed pitched faced building stone combines the beauty of natural stone with easy laying and consistent joint widths. Produced in 65, 140 and 215mm module thicknesses with a 100mm nominal depth. The face of the stone is hand dressed to provide the well known surface finish to be seen on many buildings in South Wales, Bristol, Bath and Somerset.

Sawn and split building stone is sawn in thicknesses to suit customers requirements with a nominal 100mm depth. After sawing it is cropped to provide a split face for easy laying and regular joint widths.

Split faced building stone is produced from shallow bedded block stone which is split and cropped into a random rectangular building stone. This has proved very popular with building contractors. Split faced Building stone is delivered in 1 tonne bags (approximately 4 sq/m of stone per bag).

Construction using Forest Pennant building stone is similar for all three types of stone with a backing block normally being used to provide traditional cavity construction.
